Background

From institutional platforms to building his own.

Damon Healey is the Founder and Managing Principal of Eternal Companies, an institutional real estate investment firm based in Bethesda, Maryland. The firm operates as a sponsor and GP, building and managing platforms across hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, and development.

Before founding Eternal, Healey led the U.S. expansion of Brookfield Asset Management's extended-stay hotel platform, building a $400 million acquisition and development pipeline. That portfolio was ultimately sold to The Blackstone Group and Starwood Capital Group in a $1.5 billion transaction spanning 100+ hotels across 30+ states.

Earlier, Healey served as the 5th employee and Senior Director of Real Estate for Lidl US, leading a $1.8 billion real estate expansion across the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Northeast for Europe's largest grocery chain.

Healey also served as Vice President of Development at Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners in Washington, DC, overseeing $200M+ in multifamily, office, retail, and mixed-use projects in partnership with CalSTRS.

He holds a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan's Taubman College and a B.S. in Business and Finance from Oklahoma State University. He serves on the Choice Hotels Suburban Studios Owners Advisory Board and the Taubman College Alumni Council.
